Application checklist
- Choose ONE track only (Embassy Track or University Track) — applying through both is not permitted
- Embassy Track: apply online via Study in Korea and list up to 3 universities (closed 30 September 2026 for the 2027 cycle)
- University Track: apply directly to the chosen university by its own deadline (September–November 2026)
- Prepare apostilled or consular-confirmed transcripts and certificates, a recommendation letter, personal statement and study plan
- Check the NIIED University Information file for department-level language requirements
- Confirm final results on 7 January 2027 through the Study in Korea system
Application tips
- The Embassy Track for 2027 is closed (30 September 2026) — only the University Track remains open, and each university sets its own deadline, so check your chosen university's notice directly.
- Do not apply through both tracks in one cycle; pick the track that fits your timeline and university choices.
- Send University Track documents by tracked courier at least two weeks before the university deadline — regular international post is unreliable for these deadlines.
- Note the quota discrepancy in secondary reporting (286 vs 256 total): this record uses 286 (156 Embassy + 100 UIC + 30 associate) from guidelines-based sources.
Always verify deadline, amount and eligibility on the official page before applying. Values marked ESTIMATE are based on a previous cycle and are not confirmed for the current round.
