About this scholarship
Scholarship for a one-year Honours degree or a two-year Masters degree at a recognised South African institution, combining full study funding with leadership development, for the 2028 intake.
Minimum requirements
Full 2028 eligibility criteria are published on the official apply page - check them before applying. The fetched page confirms the programme funds a one-year Honours degree or a two-year Masters degree at a recognised South African institution, and that the scholarship combines academic funding with a leadership development programme.
Application checklist
- Wait for the 2028 cycle: applications open 9 March 2027; do not use 2027 cycle documents
- Choose a one-year Honours or two-year Masters at a recognised South African institution
- Read the full 2028 eligibility criteria on the official apply page once published
- Prepare leadership evidence alongside academic records: the programme combines both
- Watch for the 2028 deadline announcement during the March-November timeline
Application tips
- Because the 2028 deadline is not yet published, set a reminder for March 2027 rather than assuming a November date.
- The leadership component is as central as the funding, so prepare examples of leadership, not only grades.
- 2027 materials are obsolete for this intake; use only the 2028 cycle documents once they appear.
Always verify deadline, amount and eligibility on the official page before applying. Values marked ESTIMATE are based on a previous cycle and are not confirmed for the current round.
