Minimum requirements
Citizenship of one of the 25 eligible countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America; initial Master's candidates no older than 35 on 1 January 2027 (advanced Master's no older than 45); admission to the Master in Epidemiology at the University of Antwerp (programme-specific admission requirements apply — confirm on the programme page).
Application checklist
- Confirm citizenship of one of the 25 eligible countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America (Mali recently added)
- Confirm the age limit: initial Master's candidates no older than 35 on 1 January 2027; advanced Master's no older than 45
- Note that only one ICP Connect scholarship application per year is allowed
- Prepare the Master in Epidemiology application for the University of Antwerp (programme-specific application dates can vary from the call deadline)
- Submit by the call deadline of 28 February 2027, noting the programme-specific deadline caveat
Application tips
- The official call page itself warns that programme-specific application dates can vary — confirm the Epidemiology programme's own deadline rather than relying only on 28 February.
- Only one ICP Connect application per year is allowed, so do not hedge by applying to two ICP programmes in the same year.
- Preference goes to candidates employed in higher education, government or civil society, or targeting those sectors — make that alignment explicit.
- Candidates who have previously studied in a higher-income country are deprioritised, so address that point honestly if it applies.
Always verify deadline, amount and eligibility on the official page before applying. Values marked ESTIMATE are based on a previous cycle and are not confirmed for the current round.
