About this scholarship
Danish Government Scholarship at the University of Southern Denmark for September 2027: a full tuition-fee waiver for the standard duration for non-EU/EEA fee-paying students on eligible programmes, with automatic consideration on admission and no separate scholarship application.
Minimum requirements
Non-EU/EEA fee-paying applicants to eligible programmes: master's programmes at Sønderborg campus (fuller list: Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Software Engineering; a narrower list names Electronics/Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics — variance recorded) and bachelor's technology programmes at Vejle campus (Software Engineering, Interactive Technology Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence). No separate scholarship application; automatic consideration on admission via the DANS portal.
Application checklist
- Apply for admission via the DANS portal (master's by 1 February 2027; bachelor's by 15 March 2027)
- No separate scholarship application: automatic consideration on admission
- If applying to more than one SDU programme, make the master's programme the highest priority
- Upload every required document at application (SDU will not ask for missing documents): application deposit fee receipt, official bachelor's transcripts and diploma, verified course descriptions, self-assessment form if relevant, proof of English proficiency
- Pay the EUR 200 application deposit (refunded if a scholarship is received)
- Confirm the programme is eligible (master's at Sønderborg campus; bachelor's technology programmes at Vejle campus)
- Pass at least 20 of 30 ECTS per semester to retain the waiver
Application tips
- Do not submit a separate scholarship application: consideration is automatic on admission via the DANS portal.
- Use the level-specific deadline: master's 1 February 2027, bachelor's 15 March 2027.
- Do not budget a living allowance as confirmed: sources conflict (DKK 3,000 vs DKK 6,090 vs none), so treat the waiver as tuition-only until the official page confirms otherwise.
Always verify deadline, amount and eligibility on the official page before applying. Values marked ESTIMATE are based on a previous cycle and are not confirmed for the current round.
