Minimum requirements
Citizens of all countries except Slovakia, subject to category rules. Academic mobility ONLY (temporary stay at a Slovak host institution, 1–2 semesters / 1–10 months), NOT a full degree. Host acceptance/invitation required before submission. Minimum 2 years between applications unless an exception applies.
Application checklist
- Secure host acceptance or an invitation from a Slovak host institution before submission
- Submit the application before 30 April 2027 at 16:00 CET for stays during the next academic year
- Deliver the original letter to SAIA by 12:00 on the third Slovak working day after the deadline
- Note the application system opens at least 6 weeks before the deadline
- Note the minimum 2 years between applications unless an exception applies
