Application checklist

  • Submit a complete MSc application to Wageningen University before 1 December 2026
  • Secure a study-coordinator or alumni recommendation, since the fund does not consider individual applications
  • Hold nationality of a low- or low-middle income country (World Bank ranking)
  • check official page for the current selection timetable

Application tips

  • Do not look for an ABF application form: there is none. The lever is a complete, early MSc application plus a coordinator or alumni recommendation.
  • Treat 1 December 2026 as the hard gate for September 2027 consideration, and 1 June as the point after which no offer means non-selection.
  • Do not confuse ABF with the Wageningen Africa Scholarship Programme (SCH-DB-165): they are separate awards with separate selection.
