Application tips

  • Wallace is for the Renaissance in the MODERN era (19th–21st centuries) — do not confuse it with Berenson (14th–17th century 'Italy in the World').
  • Projects may address museum and collecting history and the survival of the Renaissance in modern art, architecture, literature, music, philosophy and political thought.
  • Same one-fellowship-type-per-year rule as Berenson.
  • Register referees early — recommendations are due 21 November 2026.
