Application tips
- The cycle opens 1 December 2026 — do not use the old 1 October 2026 Japan-portal deadline or Fall 2025 notes on the same page.
- Projects must start after 1 April 2027 and finish by 30 November 2027.
- Check the 3-year same-category rule and the one-application-per-period rule.
- Join or renew AAS membership before the deadline — it is a condition.
Always verify deadline, amount and eligibility on the official page before applying. Values marked ESTIMATE are based on a previous cycle and are not confirmed for the current round.
