About this scholarship
Four-month, full-time residential leadership fellowship at Yale's Jackson School of Global Affairs for mid-career leaders from outside the United States, running mid-August to mid-December 2027.
Minimum requirements
Between 5 and 25 years into a professional career with demonstrated significant accomplishments at regional, national or international level; citizen of a country other than the United States (dual US citizens eligible); fluent in English (no TOEFL/IELTS required at application; fluency assessed at interview for finalists); full-time residence at Yale mid-August to mid-December; full-time students and full-time academics not accepted
Application checklist
- Online application via the World Fellows portal
- CV/résumé (maximum 3 pages)
- Personal statement (maximum 600 words)
- 3 letters of recommendation (in English)
- Brief video statement recorded in the application platform
- $20 application fee
Application tips
- Respect the 600-word personal-statement cap and the 3-page CV cap — both are hard limits on the official application page
- Record the video statement inside the application platform (Chrome/Firefox only); you get one re-record, so rehearse before the first take
- Note the programme is for non-academic practitioners: full-time students and full-time academics are not accepted
- Decisions arrive by end of April, so do not plan travel or resignations before then
Always verify deadline, amount and eligibility on the official page before applying. Values marked ESTIMATE are based on a previous cycle and are not confirmed for the current round.
