Application checklist
- Graduate student status (undergraduate and postdoctoral candidates occasionally awarded)
- Application via SOLAA
- check the STRI fellowships page for the full document list
Application tips
- Apply for the next deadline, 15 February 2027 — deadlines recur on 15 February, 15 June and 15 October
- Plan for the fellowship to begin about two months after notification
- Seek additional funding sources, since the programme itself encourages this for partial awards
- Note the James Van Tassell Research Fellowship (Gobioform fishes) is applied for through this same programme
Always verify deadline, amount and eligibility on the official page before applying. Values marked ESTIMATE are based on a previous cycle and are not confirmed for the current round.
