About this scholarship
The Danish Government Scholarship at the Technical University of Denmark for highly qualified non-EU/EEA master's students, applied for together with the DTU MSc admission application in DANS. The official application page confirms the autumn-intake deadlines, but the scholarship amount must still be verified on DTU's scholarship page before this entry is published.
Minimum requirements
Highly qualified non-EU/EEA applicant to a DTU MSc programme for the autumn intake (secondary-reported scholarship criterion). Admission application submitted via DANS by the non-EU deadline of 15 January. Exact scholarship criteria should be checked on DTU's scholarship page.
Application checklist
- Create an account in DANS, DTU's digital application portal, using a personal email address you will keep
- Complete the application form for up to two MSc programmes in the same intake
- Upload all required documentation together in DANS (DTU processes applications digitally and does not accept paper copies)
- Submit by the non-EU deadline of 15 January (portal opens 1 December) or the EU/EEA deadline of 1 March
- Monitor DANS and both inbox and spam folders for documentation requests
Application tips
- Apply for the Danish Government Scholarship together with the admission application — there is no separate form in most descriptions, so a complete DANS application is the scholarship application.
- The non-EU deadline (15 January) is ten weeks earlier than the EU/EEA deadline (1 March) — do not use the March date if you are non-EU.
- Verify the scholarship amount on DTU's scholarship page before budgeting, since the fetched application page does not state it.
- Note the spring-intake exceptions: Environmental Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are not offered with a February start to applicants with a bachelor's from outside Denmark, and Wind Energy spring 2027 is paused.
Always verify deadline, amount and eligibility on the official page before applying. Values marked ESTIMATE are based on a previous cycle and are not confirmed for the current round.
