Application checklist

  • Create an account in DANS, DTU's digital application portal, using a personal email address you will keep
  • Complete the application form for up to two MSc programmes in the same intake
  • Upload all required documentation together in DANS (DTU processes applications digitally and does not accept paper copies)
  • Submit by the non-EU deadline of 15 January (portal opens 1 December) or the EU/EEA deadline of 1 March
  • Monitor DANS and both inbox and spam folders for documentation requests

Application tips

  • Apply for the Danish Government Scholarship together with the admission application — there is no separate form in most descriptions, so a complete DANS application is the scholarship application.
  • The non-EU deadline (15 January) is ten weeks earlier than the EU/EEA deadline (1 March) — do not use the March date if you are non-EU.
  • Verify the scholarship amount on DTU's scholarship page before budgeting, since the fetched application page does not state it.
  • Note the spring-intake exceptions: Environmental Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are not offered with a February start to applicants with a bachelor's from outside Denmark, and Wind Energy spring 2027 is paused.
