It is far narrower than the van Effen award: only the Electrical Engineering Microelectronics track qualifies, and only up to two partial awards are made.

Application tips

  • Check your track first: only the Microelectronics track of Electrical Engineering qualifies, not the whole degree.
  • The 80% GPA threshold is a hard filter in the secondary reporting — do not apply if your converted GPA falls short without checking TU Delft's conversion first.
  • Aim for an 80% average in year one if you want the second-year extension.
  • Apply before 1 December — this deadline is shared with van Effen, so the two TU Delft applications compete for your time in November.
