About this scholarship
A single prestigious KTH scholarship funded by the KTH India Scholarship Foundation (established 2012) for an Indian master's student. Unlike the general KTH Scholarship, it adds a monthly living allowance during the academic year, and applicants from the Mumbai Metropolitan Area and Pune are prioritised under the foundation's statutes.
Minimum requirements
Indian citizen who has completed an undergraduate programme in India; fee-paying student who has applied for a KTH master's programme as first priority and paid the application fee; documents submitted by 1 February. Not available for joint master's programmes or programmes with obligatory exchange studies, such as Railway Engineering. Conditional eligibility also qualifies.
Application checklist
- Apply for a KTH master's programme via universityadmissions.se with KTH as first priority
- Pay the application fee
- Submit all documents by 1 February
- Submit the KTH India Scholarship application form when it opens on 1 December 2026 (no additional documents required for the scholarship form itself)
- Check official page for programme exclusions (joint master's and obligatory-exchange programmes)
Application tips
- Indian citizens may apply for both the KTH India Scholarship and the general KTH Scholarship — consider both, since only one India Scholarship is awarded.
- If you studied in the Mumbai Metropolitan Area or Pune, make that background clear, as those applicants are prioritised by the foundation's statutes.
- No extra documents are needed for the scholarship form, so the quality of your universityadmissions.se application carries the whole assessment.
- Keep first-year grades strong: the second year of funding depends on satisfactory first-year results.
Always verify deadline, amount and eligibility on the official page before applying. Values marked ESTIMATE are based on a previous cycle and are not confirmed for the current round.
